About the Distillery
Daikoku Budoshu founded Karuizawa in 1955 at Miyota, below Mount Asama in Nagano, and the business, later Mercian, stopped distilling at the end of 2000. Number One Drinks bought the last 364 casks from Kirin in 2011.
