Unlike a typical 100% malt whisky, the producer states this Kentucky Straight Malt Whiskey is crafted from a mashbill of 51% malted barley and aged in new charred oak barrels rather than the used casks common in single malt Scotch production, which the brand says amplifies the nutty character found in the standard Woodford Reserve bourbon.
