Woodford Reserve is distilled at the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Versailles, Kentucky, a National Historic Landmark site where bourbon-making dates back to 1812, and is owned by Brown-Forman. Double Oaked takes fully matured Woodford Reserve bourbon and re-barrels it in a second charred oak barrel that has been deeply toasted before a light char, extracting additional soft, sweet oak character beyond the standard bottling. Per the producer, Double Oaked is bottled at 90.4 proof (45.2% ABV) and has won awards including a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
