About This Whisky
A 33 year old Macallan distilled in 1977 and bottled in 2010 by Silver Seal, presented in an antique American Brilliant Period cut-crystal decanter with a presentation box.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Dried fruit and orange peel over polished oak, with spice and a mature, sherried note.
- Palate: Rich and rounded, with raisin, cocoa and malt sweetness, backed by warm wood spice.
- Finish: Long, with dried fruit, oak and spice.
Serving & Food
Pour a small measure at room temperature and taste it neat first. After dinner, try it with aged Gouda or dark chocolate.

About the Distillery
Alexander Reid first distilled at Easter Elchies, above the Spey, in 1824, and Edrington has owned The Macallan since 1999. Silver Seal, an independent bottler from Formigine near Modena, put this 1977 whisky into antique crystal decanters.
