Macallan 33 Year in ABP American Crystal Decanter, Distilled 1977 700mL, Silver Seal (Gift Box) is a collectible independent bottling of mature Speyside single malt, presented by Italian bottler Silver Seal in a hand-made ABP American Crystal decanter and gift box.
From the Producer
The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid at Easter Elchies on the banks of the River Spey in Speyside, Scotland, and has been part of the Edrington Group since 1999. Silver Seal was a small Italian independent bottler founded by Ernesto Mainardi in 2000, known for limited, often strikingly-packaged single-cask releases drawn from long-aged stocks and presented in fine crystal decanters. Bottles drawn from Macallan casks are among the most sought-after of these independent bottlings.
Tasting Notes
Appearance — deep amber with mahogany highlights, the colour of very long cask maturation.
Nose — dried fruit, orange peel, polished oak, spice and mature sherry notes.
Palate — rich and rounded, with raisin, cocoa, malt sweetness and warming wood spice.
Finish — long and mature, with lingering dried fruit, oak and spice.
Best For
Macallan collectors, rare-whisky gifting and display-focused Scotch collections where the crystal decanter and gift box matter as much as the liquid.
