About This Whisky
The 2022 release of The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 Years Old, matured for a quarter of a century in predominantly sherry seasoned European oak casks on The Macallan Estate.
The 25 Year Old is released annually.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Citrus peel and cinnamon, then raisin, ginger syrup and toasted oak.
- Palate: Rich and full, with dried fruit, dark toffee and firm European oak spice.
- Finish: Long and warming, sherried and gently drying, with sweet spice.
Serving & Food
Give it ten minutes in a copita, and serve with Iberico ham, braised abalone, or a plate of candied ginger and dark chocolate.
