About This Whisky
The 2026 release of The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old. The whisky is matured for at least 18 years on The Macallan Estate, mainly in sherry-seasoned European oak casks from Jerez, and bottled at 43% ABV.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Treacle tart with stem ginger, soaked raisins and sultanas with orange and ground cinnamon.
- Palate: Dark chocolate coated ginger with dates and dried apricots, balanced with a hint of oak and vanilla sweetness.
- Finish: Long with dried fruits, ginger and oak.
Serving & Food
Serve it neat in a Glencairn, or with a drop of water. It is excellent after a Cantonese banquet, and pairs with roast goose, ginger-poached pears or a dark chocolate and orange tart.
