The Macallan 18 Year Sherry Oak 1985 is a classic vintage-dated expression from one of Scotland’s most collectible distilleries. Matured in sherry-seasoned oak, it offers the rich dried-fruit profile associated with older Macallan 18 releases.
From the Producer
The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid at Easter Elchies in Speyside and has been owned by Edrington since 1999. Its Sherry Oak range is led by casks seasoned with sherry at bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, then filled with the distillery's characteristically rich, oily new-make spirit; matured for a minimum of 18 years, the result is a mahogany-hued whisky built on dried fruit, spice and polished oak.
