Château Lynch-Bages is a fifth-growth (Cinquième Cru Classé) Pauillac estate on the left bank of Bordeaux, owned by the Cazes family since 1939 and now run by the family’s Jean-Charles Cazes and the Lynch-Bages technical team. The estate ships its wines in wooden caisses (OWCs) branded with the château name, vintage and appellation as the standard format for fine-wine distribution. The 1982 vintage is one of the most celebrated Bordeaux vintages of the 20th century, and original wood cases from that year are sought-after objects for collectors who use them as display, storage or for decanting presentations.
