Longrow 21 Year is a mature peated Campbeltown single malt from the Springbank stable, built for buyers who want age, coastal complexity and a more elusive profile than mainstream smoky Scotch.
From the Producer
Longrow is the heavily peated expression from Springbank distillery in Campbeltown, established in 1828 and run by the Mitchell family (trading as J&A Mitchell & Co.) since the 19th century. Springbank is the only Scottish distillery that carries out every stage of production on site, from floor-malting its own barley to bottling the finished spirit. For Longrow, the barley is dried over roughly 48 hours of peat smoke before the spirit is double-distilled and comes off the still at around 68% ABV, giving a heavier, smokier style than Springbank's own medium-peated core range. - Palate: Silky but full-flavoured, with mature fruit, smoke, spice and oily Campbeltown depth.
