About This Wine
Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair La Romanée 2011 is Pinot Noir from a grand cru monopole of well under a hectare in Vosne-Romanée. The 2011 is a fresher, mid-weight vintage now moving into its drinking window.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Redcurrant and sour cherry, sweet pipe tobacco, rose hip and a whiff of damp earth.
- Palate: Supple, with tangy red fruit, a stony core and softening tannins.
- Finish: Clean and quite long, with spice, dried flowers and a mineral edge.

Open it now or over the next decade, with mushroom and truffle pasta or roast chicken.

About the Domaine
The Liger-Belair family settled at the Château de Vosne-Romanée in 1815, and Comte Louis-Michel took over in 2000. Before 2022 the domaine farmed about 10.5 hectares, from village wines to grand cru.
