Liger Belair Golden Dragon Collection 2018 8-Pk OWC is a collector Burgundy case tied to Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, built around top Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir in original wooden case format. Because this is a mixed collectible case rather than a single cuvée, the commercial value rests in provenance, producer pedigree and the verified OWC contents.
From the Producer
Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair traces its Vosne-Romanée roots to 1815, when Napoleonic general Louis Liger-Belair acquired the Château de Vosne; the family had already been Burgundy wine merchants since 1720. The modern domaine was re-founded in 2000 by Comte Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, who set about reclaiming the family's scattered parcels and farming them biodynamically. Its holdings include the La Romanée monopole, at 0.8452 hectares the smallest Grand Cru appellation in Burgundy and the smallest AOC in France, alongside sites across Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Tasting Profile
- Nose: Mixed-case release; aroma profile varies by the included cuvées and bottle condition.
- Palate: This is a collectible assortment of Burgundy reds rather than one unified palate profile, so bottle-specific tasting should follow the confirmed case composition.
- Finish: Finish and maturity will vary by included wine, storage history and bottle condition within the case.
Best For
Collector review, fine-wine allocation checks and cellar purchases where the OWC contents and provenance can be verified before sale.
