Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair's Golden Dragon Collection from 2018: an eight-bottle, gold-capsuled wooden case of the domaine's leading Côte de Nuits wines, made for collectors in Asia.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Expect dark cherry, violet, clove and sandalwood from La Romanée, with a brighter red-fruit and floral register from the other reds.
- Palate: Silky, concentrated Pinot Noir with fine tannin and a clear stony thread.
- Finish: Spicy and lasting, with La Romanée the most persistent of the set.
Serving & Food
Most bottles will show better from the late 2020s, La Romanée last. Roast pigeon or char siu pork suits them.

About the Domaine
The Liger-Belair family has owned the Château de Vosne-Romanée since 1815, when the Napoleonic general Louis Liger-Belair bought it. Comte Louis-Michel, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, took charge of the domaine in 2000.
