Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair traces over 200 years of family winemaking in Vosne-Romanée. Comte Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, took over the estate in 2000 and rebuilt it around the family's remaining vineyard parcels in Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Flagey-Échezeaux. The domaine has been certified organic and biodynamic (Ecocert, Biodyvin label) since 2012, and its tiny-volume Grand Cru and Premier Cru bottlings are among the most sought after in the Côte de Nuits.
