Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair traces over 200 years of family winemaking in Vosne-Romanée. Comte Louis-Michel Liger-Belair, an agricultural engineer and oenologist, took over the estate in 2000 and rebuilt it around the family's remaining vineyard parcels, growing holdings in Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Flagey-Échezeaux. The domaine has been certified organic and biodynamic (Ecocert, Biodyvin label) since 2012, with priority given to soil work in the vines and minimal intervention in the cellar.
