Leroy Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Allots 2011 is a village-level Burgundy from the lieu-dit Aux Allots, under a Leroy label that is among the most closely followed in the Côte de Nuits.
From the Producer
Leroy wines carry the imprint of Lalou Bize-Leroy: biodynamic farming, severely low yields, and bottling without fining or filtration. It is why a Leroy village wine often shows more concentration than a neighbour's premier cru. Aux Allots lies on the northern edge of Nuits-Saint-Georges, closer to Vosne-Romanee than to the town, and 2011 gave lighter, earlier-drinking Burgundy than the years either side of it.
Best For
Serious Burgundy cellars, Leroy collectors and buyers tracking single lieu-dit bottlings rather than blended village wine.
