Domaine Leroy traces its roots to 1868, when François Leroy founded the negociant house Maison Leroy in Auxey-Duresses. Lalou Bize-Leroy took over as managing director in 1971 and, from 1988, built the present-day Domaine Leroy around the family's own vineyard holdings, farming them biodynamically and certified by Ecocert. The domaine cultivates roughly 22 hectares of largely Premier and Grand Cru sites across the Côte d'Or, and its tiny yields have made it one of the most sought-after and expensive producers in Burgundy.
