Clos de Vougeot is a walled Grand Cru vineyard in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, established by Cistercian monks of Cîteaux Abbey and fully enclosed by its surrounding wall by 1336. At just over 50 hectares it is one of the region's largest Grand Cru sites, appellation-controlled for red wine made from Pinot Noir. Laurent Roumier's 1998 bottling draws on that historic ground, offered here as a mature, cellar-ready vintage.
