Latour 1974 3-Pk OWC 3L - Empty Wood Case is the original wooden shipping case (OWC) supplied by the producer for a six-bottle or larger format of the same vintage. As an empty case it carries no liquid and is sold as an accessory or storage piece.

From the Producer

Chateau Latour is a Pauillac First Growth of the 1855 Classification, built around the walled Enclos vineyard beside the Gironde estuary. The estate makes original wooden cases sized to the format they ship, and a three-bottle case built for 3L double magnums is a far less common survivor than the standard twelve-bottle 750mL case, simply because large formats were produced in much smaller numbers. This example carries the 1974 vintage marking.
