Château Lafite Rothschild packs its grand vin at the estate in Pauillac, with smaller case configurations such as the six-bottle 750mL used for selected shipments and export markets. Each original wooden case is marked with the château name, the vintage and the bottle format, and is widely retained by collectors as a presentation piece after the bottles are gone. Domaines Barons de Rothschild (DBR) has owned Lafite since 1868 and the estate has held Premier Cru status since the 1855 Bordeaux Classification.
