La Mission Haut Brion 1995 12-Pk OWC 750mL — Empty Wood Case is the original wooden case (OWC) supplied by the property for a twelve-bottle format of the 1995 vintage, sold empty as a presentation or storage piece. The case is offered empty; the listing covers the OWC only, not the wine inside it.
From the Producer
Château La Mission Haut-Brion is a Pessac-Léognan estate acquired by Domaine Clarence Dillon in 1983 and managed alongside its sibling first growth, Château Haut-Brion. From the 2009 vintage onward the wine has carried the Pessac-Léognan AOC, classified as a Cru Classé de Graves since 1959, and is produced from gravelly soil over clay subsoil in the heart of the historic Haut-Brion terroir. The traditional blend runs roughly half Cabernet Sauvignon and half Merlot, with small additions of Cabernet Franc, fermented and aged in new French oak. Château-produced OWCs are made for the in-bottle ageing period at the property and remain the only pack confirmed by the estate for that vintage.
Tasting Notes
Tasting notes are not applicable: this entry is for the empty original wooden case, not for the wine it once held.
