The Judge is Kongsgaard's flagship single-vineyard Chardonnay, grown on a low-yielding hilltop site east of the town of Napa that founder John Kongsgaard's grandfather originally intended as a stone quarry. Named for John's father, "The Judge," the wine is produced from vines that yield barely one ton per acre, giving the concentration this magnum format is known for.
