Kilkerran is the single malt brand of Mitchell's Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, re-established in 2004 by the Mitchell family. The distillery uses two stills producing a lightly peated new-make, with maturation in bourbon and sherry casks in Campbeltown's coastal warehouses. The 12 Year Old is Glengyle's flagship age statement and the reference expression for the Kilkerran house style — oily texture, maritime character and balanced cask influence. The 2022 release follows the same 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered presentation as earlier batches.
