Kilkerran is the single malt brand of Mitchell's Glengyle Distillery, a Campbeltown distillery re-established in 2004 by the Mitchell family — founders of Springbank — using the dormant Glengyle site. The distillery sits on Campbeltown's southern shore and operates two stills producing a lightly peated spirit, vatted from bourbon and sherry casks and bottled as Kilkerran. The 12 Year Old is Glengyle's core age-statement release and the benchmark for the brand's house style: oily, maritime and gently smoky.
