Kilchoman STR Cask Limited Edition 2019 700mL is a sherry-cask matured single malt from Islay's Kilchoman distillery, finished in STR (shaved, toasted and re-charred) red wine casks and bottled as a limited annual release.

Kilchoman is a farm distillery on the western coast of Islay, founded in 2005 by the Wills family as Islay's first new distillery in over 124 years. Kilchoman grows a portion of its own barley at Rockside Farm and operates floor maltings on site. The STR Cask series is finished in casks made from American oak red wine barriques that have been shaved, toasted and re-charred before being filled — a process Kilchoman uses to introduce deep vanilla, spice and red-fruit character into its typically coastal, peaty new-make spirit. The 2019 edition is the year's STR cask-limited release bottled in 700ml format.
