About This Whisky
Oloroso is a full, dry sherry aged without flor, and casks that held it give dark colour, dried fruit and nutty spice. Kavalan uses specially seasoned oloroso casks for this bottling. The distillery describes the result as clean and complex, with layers of dried fruit, nuts and spice, some marzipan and vanilla, and a rich, oily palate with a hint of coffee. Strength varies by cask, between about 50% and 59.9%.
