Kavalan Solist Manzanilla Sherry is a cask-strength Taiwanese single malt from Kavalan’s Solist range, shaped by the drier, more saline profile of manzanilla sherry casks. It stands apart from sweeter sherry-led styles by combining Kavalan’s tropical fruit core with lifted coastal freshness and spice.

From the Producer

Kavalan distillery was completed in December 2005 by Taiwan's King Car Group in Yuanshan, Yilan County, and produced its first spirit in March 2006. It gained international attention in January 2010 when one of its whiskies beat several Scotch and English entries in a blind tasting held in Leith, Scotland, and its Solist range of single cask, cask-strength bottlings has since won “World's Best Single Malt” honours at the World Whiskies Awards. Kavalan's subtropical Yilan climate drives fast, warm-climate maturation, and the Solist series routinely explores less common sherry cask types, including manzanilla, alongside its standard oloroso and sherry casks.
