Karuizawa 1976 Noh Single Sherry Cask #6719 is a 32-year-old Japanese single malt from the closed Karuizawa distillery. It is a 700mL release bottled at 63.0% ABV.
From the Producer
The Noh series was released by the Number One Drinks Company from the closed Karuizawa stock, each bottle carrying a hand-applied label depicting a scene or mask from Noh theatre, Japan's classical stage form. Every release is one cask and one label design. This 1976 spent thirty-two years in a sherry butt and came out at 63% - undiluted, because the series was bottled at whatever strength the cask gave.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Big sherry character with nutty, leather and citrus notes reported by whisky review sources.
- Palate: Powerful but approachable cask-strength sherry-cask profile with mature fruit, spice and oak.
- Finish: Long, warming finish consistent with a 63.0% single-cask whisky.
Best For
For collectors of Noh-label Karuizawa single casks and high-strength Japanese whisky
