From the Producer
Karuizawa closed in 2000 after forty-five years, and the site was demolished in 2016. What remained was a warehouse of sherry casks, acquired by the Number One Drinks Company, who have released them one cask at a time ever since. This 1984 was selected for the Nordic market - regional single-cask releases from the closed stock that were never distributed widely and are now traced almost entirely through auction records.
