About This Bourbon
This is the flagship recipe, a corn-led mash with rye and malted barley, distilled in Clermont and aged four years in new charred American oak. Four years is twice the legal minimum for a straight bourbon. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof), it is light enough to mix freely yet still shows clear vanilla and oak.
Tasting Profile

About the Distillery
The story goes back to Johannes "Jacob" Beam, a farmer-distiller who sold his first barrels of corn whiskey in Kentucky around 1795. The family whiskey was later sold as Old Tub. James Beauregard Beam ran the business from 1892, rebuilt the distillery at Clermont near Bardstown after Prohibition ended, and in 1943 the whiskey was renamed Jim Beam in his honour.
Some bottles still carry his signature and the line "None Genuine Without My Signature". Later owners included Fortune Brands, and Suntory Holdings bought Beam in 2014; the business is now Suntory Global Spirits.
