Jacques Selosse V.O. Version Originale is one of Champagne's cult grower bottlings, presented as a Grand Cru Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs produced in very small quantities. The 2012 notation in the product name likely relates to release or disgorgement context rather than a conventional vintage statement.
From the Producer
Jacques Selosse is a grower Champagne house based in Avize, run by Anselme Selosse, a pioneer of biodynamic and organic farming in Champagne and part of the fourth generation of his family to grow wine there. Selosse ferments its wines in oak barrels and works fruit from its own vineyards as a grower producer, rather than blending in bought-in grapes the way large houses do, which is why the range shows a more vinous, oxidative style than mainstream Champagne.
