Jack Daniel's has distilled at Lynchburg, Tennessee since the 1860s and is owned by Brown-Forman. Every drop of house whiskey is filtered through ten feet of sugar-maple charcoal before barrelling — the Lincoln County Process that defines Tennessee whiskey. Gentleman Jack carries the Old No. 7 recipe through a second round of charcoal mellowing after maturation, which is what Brown-Forman positions as the smoothest expression in the core range: a step up in refinement rather than a change of mash bill.
