Jack Daniel's Bonded is the first expression in Jack Daniel's permanent Bonded Series, a Bottled-in-Bond Tennessee Whiskey introduced in 2022.
From the Producer
Jack Daniel's has been making Tennessee Whiskey in Lynchburg since before the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which the brand now references directly on its labels. Jack Daniel's Bonded was released in May 2022 alongside Jack Daniel's Triple Mash as the first two permanent expressions in the brand's new Bonded Series — its first super-premium line extension in 25 years. The Bottled-in-Bond Act requires that the whiskey be the product of one distiller, distilled in a single season, matured in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years and bottled at 100 US proof (50% ABV). Jack Daniel's Bonded is made from the classic Old No. 7 recipe — 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye — and is charcoal-mellowed through sugar maple charcoal before ageing, in line with the Tennessee Whiskey category. Barrels were hand-selected for deeper colour and oak-forward character, and the bottle design echoes the original 1895 Jack Daniel's bottle shape.
Tasting Notes
Nose — Caramel, toasted oak, banana and the signature Jack Daniel's charcoal-mellowed sweetness.
Palate — Bigger and bolder than Old No. 7 at 100 proof, with caramel, rich oak and rye spice building on a banana-bread base.
Finish — Long, warm and pleasantly lingering, with caramelised sugar and oak.
Best For
Best suited to fans of Bottled-in-Bond American whiskey and the Jack Daniel's house style. Equally good neat, with a splash of water, or in classic whiskey serves.
