Whisky Talk Fukuoka is one of Japan's long-running regional whisky events where independent bottlers and distilleries release small parcels to attendees. Under the Ichiro's Malt label, Venture Whisky Ltd. — the family company of Ichiro Akuto, founder of Chichibu Distillery — produces both Chichibu single malts and event-linked bottlings. Chichibu Distillery sits in Saitama Prefecture, began production in 2008 and operates as a small-pot-still operation known for its varied cask programme and limited-release single-cask bottlings. Whisky Talk Fukuoka bottlings are released in small numbers for collectors attending the event.
