About This Whisky
Suntory presented this 35-year-old Hibiki in a porcelain decanter by Sakaida Kakiemon XIV, the fourteenth head of the Kakiemon kiln at Arita and a Living National Treasure. The edition was limited to 150 bottles.
The Kakiemon style goes back to the 1640s and overglaze enamelling at Arita.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Dried peach, sandalwood and incense, with honeycomb and a faint floral note.
- Palate: Silky and calm.
- Finish: Long and gentle, with honeyed fruit, soft spice and lingering wood.

Serve small measures neat in a thin-walled glass.

About the Distillery
Shinjiro Torii founded Suntory in Osaka in 1899, and the company launched Hibiki in 1989 for its 90th year. The blend draws on malt from Yamazaki and Hakushu and grain whisky from Chita.
