From the Producer

Hibiki was created by Suntory in 1989 to celebrate the company's 90th anniversary and is composed by the Chief Blender from malt and grain whiskies matured at the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries. This 35 Year edition is presented in a decanter linked to the Kakiemon porcelain tradition of Arita, Japan, developed from the 17th century by the Sakaida family. The kiln's fourteenth-generation potter, Sakaida Kakiemon XIV (1934–2013), was designated a Living National Treasure by the Japanese government for his mastery of the signature Kakiemon overglaze enamel style, and the decanter's design draws directly on that heritage.
