Hibiki 21 Year Ceramic Decanter is a collectible presentation bottling that pairs Suntory’s aged Hibiki blend with Arita ceramic craftsmanship. The appeal here is split between the whisky itself and the release-specific decanter, so presentation accuracy matters as much as the spirit details.
From the Producer
This decanter is finished in Arita-yaki (有田焼), Japan's earliest porcelain tradition, produced since the 17th century around the town of Arita in the former Hizen Province of Kyushu. Arita kilns are historically associated with fine blue-and-white porcelain and, in wares carrying added overglaze colour, with Imari-style decoration. Suntory launched Hibiki in 1989 with the 21 Year among its first two age-stated releases, blending malt and grain whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries. Suntory has periodically commissioned Japanese ceramic artists to create limited decanters for its aged Hibiki expressions, pairing the whisky's blending heritage with regional Japanese craft.
