Hibiki 17 Year was launched by Suntory in 1989 as one of the brand's first two age-stated releases, alongside the 21 Year. The blend is built from malt and grain whiskies matured at Suntory's Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries across multiple cask types. Suntory began discontinuing the expression from 2018 and it is no longer part of the brand's official range, making the 17 Year a fixed, non-renewable pool of stock.
