About the Distillery
Springbank began distilling Hazelburn in 1997, so this 1999 cask was filled two years into the modern make. The first official release was an 8-year-old in 2005, and the distillery has since built a small range around it, with a 10-year-old core bottling and occasional sherry-matured limited editions.
Alongside those official releases, Springbank has from time to time filled individual casks for private customers, bars and clubs. Several 1999 Hazelburn casks have been bottled this way over the years, at a range of ages and strengths, each carrying its buyer's name on the label.
