Harlan Estate 2019 is a flagship Napa Valley red from one of California’s most prestigious estates. It is a cellar-worthy, Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine built for collectors who value concentration, polish and longevity.
From the Producer
Harlan Estate sits on roughly forty acres of hillside vineyard in the western hills above Oakville, planted on volcanic and sedimentary soils high above the valley floor rather than on it. Bill Harlan bought the land in 1984 and spent the following years planting and testing before releasing a first commercial vintage from 1990. The wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon-led Bordeaux blend, made in small volume and sold largely through a mailing list rather than open retail, which is why it appears so seldom on shelves. The 2019 vintage came from a season Napa growers widely regarded as one of the decade's best, with an even ripening period and no heat spikes at harvest.
