Hanyu 1988-2008 Full Proof Europe Cask No. 9307 is a closed-distillery Japanese single malt from the cult Hanyu name. It is known as the 'Nice Butt' private barrel selection, making it a serious collector bottle.
From the Producer
Hanyu was Toa Shuzo's distillery in Saitama. Production ended in 2000 and the buildings came down in 2004; Ichiro Akuto, grandson of the founder, rescued roughly four hundred remaining casks before they were lost - the stock that later became the celebrated Card Series and made Hanyu a cult name. Every Hanyu on the market today traces back to those rescued casks. This one was selected as a full-proof European release.
