Hakushu 18 Year Single Malt Whisky 700mL (Japanese Old release) is a long-aged Japanese single malt from Suntory's forest distillery at the foot of Mount Kaikomagatake, bottled at 43% ABV. This older Japanese-market release adds collector interest beyond the current 18 Year Old presentation.

Hakushu is Suntory's highland distillery in the Southern Japanese Alps, established in 1973 to give House of Suntory a second, distinctly greener and more herbal single malt alongside Yamazaki. The distillery uses water filtered through local bamboo forest and runs small pot stills that produce a lighter, more herbal spirit than Yamazaki. The 18 Year Old expression spends at least 18 years maturing in a mix of American white oak and sherry casks before being vatted and bottled at 43% ABV. Suntory officially positions Hakushu 18 as "crisp and gently smoky" — its character is built around fresh forest aromatics layered over age-driven depth.
