Guillaume Selosse Au Dessus du Gros Mont 2019 is a rare grower Champagne linked to one of the region's most closely watched names. It is a collector-focused bottle that balances artisanal identity with elegant Chardonnay drive.
From the Producer
Guillaume Selosse is the son of Anselme Selosse and works from Avize in the Cote des Blancs. He began releasing wine under his own name in the mid-2010s from a small holding of parcels separate to the family domaine, farming them organically and vinifying in wood with minimal intervention and very low dosage. Au Dessus du Gros Mont takes its name from the lieu-dit it comes from, a Chardonnay parcel sitting above the Gros Mont site, and it is made in tiny quantity - a few thousand bottles at most in a given year. The wines are allocated rather than sold openly, which is why they surface so rarely on the secondary market. This is the 2019 release in 750mL.
Tasting Profile
