Gordon & Macphail Connoisseurs Choice Glen Keith 1993 is a mature Speyside single malt from one of Scotland's best-known independent bottlers. It offers buyers a vintage-dated Scotch with classic age-led character and broad appeal for both drinking and collecting.
From the Producer
Gordon & MacPhail, founded in Elgin in 1895, built its reputation by buying new-make spirit from working distilleries and maturing it under its own warehouse management, releasing much of it under the long-running Connoisseurs Choice range launched in the 1960s. Glen Keith, in Keith, Speyside, was mothballed by owner Chivas Brothers between 1999 and 2013 before reopening; independently bottled vintages such as this 1993 predate the closure and give access to Glen Keith's character outside the small amount the distillery bottles itself.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Orchard fruit, vanilla, light honey and polished oak.
- Palate: Smooth and rounded, with malt sweetness, ripe fruit and gentle spice.
- Finish: Medium-long and elegant, with soft oak and lingering sweetness.
