About This Tequila
Launched in January 2026, the bottle design combines the ikat pattern of the Mexican rebozo, a traditional woven shawl, with the Chinese zodiac horse. Inside is the regular 1942 añejo: 100% Blue Weber agave, aged more than two years in American white oak and bottled at 40%. It comes in a matching gift box, and was produced for a limited period around the New Year.

- Palate: Silky and full, with warm oak, vanilla and cooked agave, then toffee and gentle spice.

About the Distillery
Don Julio González had no family fortune when he started out. He borrowed the money to build his first distillery in 1942 and spent the following decades building the business from that single distillery.
Tequila Don Julio is now part of Diageo. Production remains in the Jalisco highlands, where the agave is slow-roasted and fermented before distillation and ageing.
