Dom Pérignon P2 2008 returns this vintage in its second Plénitude, showing the added energy, depth and lees-aged complexity expected from a later-release edition of one of the house’s standout modern vintages.
From the Producer
P2 is not a different wine from Dom Perignon 2008 — it is the same wine left alone for roughly twice as long. The house holds the vintage on its lees through a second window of maturity, around sixteen years, and disgorges only when the wine tightens and gains drive rather than softening. 2008 was a cool, late-ripening year in Champagne with unusually high acidity, which is exactly the raw material that rewards that extra decade.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Citrus, ripe orchard fruit, brioche and a chalky mineral edge.
- Palate: Layered and finely structured, with creamy lees notes supporting vivid 2008 acidity.
- Finish: Long, bright and mineral, with elegant toasted complexity.
Best For
Cellar-worthy celebration Champagne, prestige gifting and dining service where a later-release Dom Pérignon is preferred to the standard vintage bottling.
