Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires 2006 750mL is the prestige blanc de blancs cuvée from Champagne Charles Heidsieck, made entirely from Chardonnay and aged on its lees for many years before release.


From the Producer

Charles Heidsieck, founded in 1851 by Charles-Camille Heidsieck in Reims, is one of the great historic Champagne houses and a sister house of Piper-Heidsieck within the EPI group. The house draws Chardonnay from the Crémant-influenced Côte des Blancs and from the cooler terroirs of the Marne, with reserves held in the chalk cellars (crayères) beneath Reims that date back to Roman times. Blanc des Millénaires, first released with the 1983 vintage and named in reference to those millennial chalk cellars, is produced only in vintages the cellar master judges worthy and is aged on its lees for at least a decade before release.
