About This Wine
Ma Cuvée is Arnaud Mortet's village Gevrey-Chambertin, blended from old-vine parcels in the southern half of the appellation.
Sites include La Justice, Les Épointures and Champs Chenys, on clay-limestone soils.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Raspberry, red and black cherry, wilted rose and a touch of orange zest.
- Palate: Medium to full, fleshy and bright, with pliant tannin and a hint of dark chocolate.
- Finish: Fresh and moderately long, with red berry fruit and gentle spice.
Serving & Food
Drink it from 2026 and through the following decade. Try it with rabbit in mustard sauce or wild mushroom pasta.
Good to Know
How does it differ from Mes Cinq Terroirs? The southern sites give a softer, more supple Gevrey than the northern parcels.
Was it made with whole bunches? Partly, about a third to 40% in 2023.

About the Domaine
Charles Mortet planted his first hectare in Gevrey-Chambertin in 1956, and his son Denis took full control in 1993. Arnaud joined in 2000 and has run the domaine with his mother Laurence since Denis died in 2006.
