Carruades de Lafite 2020 is the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild, drawn from the same Pauillac estate and offering its house style at a fraction of the grand vin's price.

Carruades takes its name from the plateau next to Lafite's main vineyard, and the blend carries a noticeably higher share of Merlot than the grand vin, which is why it opens earlier. The fruit comes off the same Pauillac estate and passes through the same cellar team; the selection simply goes a different way at blending. 2020 was a dry, early season in Bordeaux that produced ripe, firmly structured wines.
