About the Distillery
William Matheson founded Glenmorangie in 1843 at Tain, on the Dornoch Firth, and Moët Hennessy has owned it since 2004. Its stills are the tallest in Scotland, and Dr Bill Lumsden built much of its name on wine-cask finishes.
