Krug 2008 is a prestige vintage Champagne from one of the region’s most admired houses, and comes with a gift box. It is a cool-year vintage balancing structure and finesse, suited to both cellaring and celebratory service.
From the Producer
Krug was founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, who broke with Champagne convention by fermenting every plot separately in small oak casks and keeping a large library of reserve wines. Krug makes a vintage wine only when the year is distinctive enough to stand alone without reserves, and holds it far longer than the region requires - around a decade in the cellar before release. 2008 was a cool, late, famously structured Champagne year.
Tasting Profile
- Nose: Honey, citrus peel, grapefruit, flowers and light menthol freshness.
- Palate: Focused yet ample, with citrus, candied fruit, biscuit notes and energetic acidity.
- Finish: Long, precise and beautifully structured.
