About This Whisky
Yamazaki Distillery was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture, as Japan's first malt whisky distillery and remains the home of the House of Suntory's single malt programme. The Tsukuriwake Collection highlights the influence of different maturation approaches on Yamazaki spirit, with the 18 Year Mizunara release drawn from casks of Japanese Mizunara oak at eighteen years of age. Suntory uses 43% ABV for Yamazaki's principal age-statement single malts.
