- Finish: Mellow, with oak, spice and a lingering honeyed sweetness.

About the Distillery
Chivas Brothers created Royal Salute in 1953 to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The name refers to the 21-gun salute fired on royal occasions, which is also why the youngest whisky in every Royal Salute blend is 21 years old. From the beginning it has been presented in a porcelain flagon rather than a glass bottle; the flagship Signature Blend comes in sapphire blue, and limited editions over the years have used other colours and artwork. The blend brings together malt and grain whiskies from distilleries across Scotland, married after long ageing in oak.
